• SR21 – Institute for Scientific Research has been established as a not for profit entity based in the canton of Zurich in Switzerland. Our Institute for Scientific research is serving as a legal diploma and degree granting institution as well as a quality assurance organisation for scientific related professions and activities, in collaboration with science councils and scientific bodies, worldwide.
Since 2014 our institution has gained Candidacy Accreditation by the UK Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC). ASIC is recognised by UKVI in UK, is a member of the CHEA International Quality Group (CIQG) in USA and is listed in their International Directory, is a member of the BQF (British Quality Foundation), are affiliates of ENQA (European Network for Quality Assurance) and are institutional members of EDEN (European Distance and E-Learning Network).

Our key aim is to encourage more young people to consider a career in science. This is not surprising. Most publicly funded public engagement activity has focused around research and academia, and media coverage of ‘science’ is most commonly about research and breakthroughs.

The Master of Advanced Study is a Higher Research Degree offered in almost any desired postgraduate discipline. This award usually involves considerable research effort, either through a thesis or supervised research projects. This new type of Higher award is equivalent to the UK standard Master’s degree (level 7), based on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (UK RQF).

Translational Medicine is a multi-faceted discipline with a focus on translational therapeutics. In a broad sense, translational medicine bridges across the discovery, development, regulation, and utilisation spectrum. It may include application of research findings from genes, proteins, cells, tissues, organs, and animals, to clinical research in patient populations, all aimed at optimising and predicting outcomes in specific patients.
All the confusion about defining “mental disorder” makes sense when one thinks about the term more carefully. Mental has to do with mind and disorder is often (though not always) a euphemism for disease. So, another way to think about mental disorder is as some kind of “mind disease.” Of course, as Thomas Szasz (1974) pointed out more than 50 years ago, mind or perception are products of our brain but – unlike brain – are not tangible, and so, in a literal sense, they cannot be afflicted by diseases.
Recent research has described a number of novel material characteristics. New identified material radiations and fields have been described and novel detection methods are advanced based on the “signature” of each substance. Applications of such “novel” fields are developed by our experts and a novel detection system has been developed.
